—About—

Nick Smerkanich is a Los Angeles based actor, VO artist, and performance artist. Originally raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, he was later awarded his BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and his MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts.

During his years in New York City, Nick worked extensively within the Off-Off Broadway theater community. He has performed with various up and coming theater companies in many storied venues such as HERE Arts Center, La MaMa, and Soho Rep. In 2013 he was awarded two New York Innovative Awards (Outstanding Actor in a Lead Role and Outstanding Ensemble) for his work in PopUp Theatrics’ “The Window: 4 Alice.”

Nick thrives in a wide variety of roles ranging from the quirky and nerdy intellectual to the calm and calculated villain. Constantly wishing he was a male protagonist in a Bronte novel, he looks forward to the day he can don some fake mutton chops and stroll down some 18th century park onscreen.
